Conifer Tree Removal In Coal Aston, Dronfield: Hands on Tree Care
We were recently called out to remove these two extremely large and overgrown conifers in Coal Aston, Dronfield.

These trees were growing in the customer’s front garden. They had grown so large that they were blocking light from entering the house. In addition, the roots were in danger of damaging the foundations of the house.

The trees had been left to grow to the point to where they were even blocking light from the upstairs windows.
The height of the trees meant that there was no simple way to reduce their size without removing them completely.

5 Reasons why you shouldn’t keep trees too close to your home

  1. The roots from the trees may damage the foundations of the building and eventually may make the foundation sink.
  2. As mentioned before, large trees in front of windows may block out light.
  3. If you are dealing with damp penetration, a nearby tree will make it worse.
  4. Increases the odds of rodents such as squirrels and mice and other wildlife accessing your home.
  5. May cause damage to your property. (In this case, the tree has caused damage to the cladding.)

How Did We Remove The Trees?

These trees were in the client’s front garden, which was quite small.  We didn’t have a lot of room to fell them in a traditional manner. Instead, we needed to carefully remove them. We accomplished this task by using a technique called sectional dismantling.

We started by cutting the branches from top to bottom, we removed the longer branches and then dealt with the boughs. Next, we dismantled the tree into portions that were easier to handle and slowly lowered them down to reduce the risk to nearby property.
