Large Conifer Removal, Sheffield. – Hands on Tree Care.
Hands on Tree Care recently removed a large conifer that had outgrown the customers garden in Sheffield.
The tree was situated in the customer’s back garden and had grown so large that it had become a hazard to the surrounding fence borders and the greenhouse, which was directly underneath.
How did we remove this large conifer?
This towering tree was growing in our clients back garden and the surroundings limited the amount of space we could use to work. This meant that we had very little room to fell it as we would usually. So, instead of felling the tree by letting it fall, we carefully removed the tree by using a technique called sectional dismantling.
We started by removing the branches from the top of the tree to bottom, we removed the longer branches first and then dealt with the boughs. Then we dismantle the tree into portions that are easy to handle and slowly lower them down to reduce the risk to the greenhouse and the nearby properties. the majority of the dismantling process was by using a lowering rope.
Why is it dangerous to keep overgrown trees?
- The roots from the tree may damage the foundations of buildings and structures and eventually may make the foundations sink.
- large trees may block light from entering windows.
- If you are dealing with damp penetration, a nearby tree will make it worse.
- Increases the odds of rodents such as squirrels and mice and other wildlife accessing your property.
- May cause damage to your or your neighbour’s property. (In this case, the tree had crossed over the customer’s greenhouse and the tree had gotten awfully close to the neighbour’s fence.)
All branches and logs had to be carried through the garage, all of our work had been completed in one day.
