Silver Birch Tree Removed, Dronfield: Tony Hands, Hands on Tree Care.
A homeowner need a Dronfield tree surgeon and decided to contact Hands on Tree Care. The customer had recently purchased the property but the small garden had not been rigorously maintained and so had become overgrown.
In the corner of the garden was a rather elegant-looking silver Birch Tree. Sadly though the Silver Birch was situated very close to the boundary of adjacent gardens. It had begun to lean over the fence meaning that it was dropping leaves and twigs down over the boundary. Because the tree had become too tall, there was a risk of larger branches or boughs falling too.
A worst-case scenario would be that should the tree fall, it would fall into the neighbour’s garden, destroying the fence, their greenhouse and anything else that might be in its path. So it was decided that the tree should be removed.

The Silver Birch tree was approximately 50ft tall and about 25 years old. Its lean was being caused due to being sited exposed to westerly wind. Also, the tree being unbalanced by one-sided growth and previous pruning from one only side.
Removing The Tree
We used our standard method of tree removal called sectional dismantling. this means our expert tree surgeons climb into the tree and dismantle the larger branches and then the trunk in sections. Lowering all large logs to the ground using ropes, rather than the more traditional method of cutting the trunk and letting the tree fall.

In addition to removing the Silver Birch, we also trimmed and shaped the Beech hedges and shrubs. All works were completed in a day and the customer was very happy.
