Hands on Tree Care have been engaged in several weeks of work for Sheffield City Council. We have been clearing woodland to restore the land to the natural habitat of wetland.

Tree Felling
When we were called to go and look at the trees that needed felling, we were told that the land had been planted up as a Conifer woodland approximately in the 1960’s for commercial forestry to sell timber.
Whilst we were working in the forest we felled approx 40tonnes of timber. The trees were removed by tractor and crane to the roadside for the timber to be collected by an articulated lorry.
We look forward to following the land’s progress as it reverts back to its natural habitat.
